Two days ago, Vamos Mi Sevilla FC reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers are one of four clubs looking at Marcos Acuña for the winter market.

It was also explained Sevilla hope to collect €12m for the left-back after informing him his services are no longer needed.

After the La Liga side decided to discard the 31-year-old, several sides want to sign him.

That’s according to Fichajes.net, who explain Wolves are among the clubs ‘interested’ in securing the Argentina international’s services in January.

The Premier League side appointed Julen Lopetegui as their new manager earlier this month and he arrived at Molineux a month after leaving Sevilla. The Spaniard knows the defender well from this time at the Andalusian club.

Although Acuña mainly operates as a left-back, he is an ‘all-rounder’ because he can also be deployed in the wide positions and in midfield. The South American’s versatility has made Wolves ‘very aware’ of his market situation ahead of the upcoming windows.

One to keep an eye on, although it seems to be just at the idea stage right now.
