Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly one of the clubs interested in Habib Diallo.
The striker, who used to belong to Strasbourg, was last summer sold to Al-Shabab in a deal worth €18m.
According to FootMercato, Diallo is ‘having difficulty adapting to his new environment’, and that’s opening the possibility of an early return to Europe.
The outlet writes there are a few clubs queueing up for his potential signing, and Wolves are one of them. The likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Lille, Lorient and Strasbourg.
Wolves are one of the clubs said to have made contact.
The report, however, makes it clear that the talks with Al-Shabab wouldn’t be easy. They wouldn’t be against a loan, but the offer would need to be good.
It’s said some news should come out in the coming days, especially with so many French clubs battling Wolves in this chase.
Since his arrival at Al-Shabab, Diallo only had one goal and one assist in 19 games. That makes it clear that his situation is affecting his performances, so that may be an argument for his club to let him go, at least temporarily.
