Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in UD Las Palmas goalkeeper Álvaro Valles, according to fresh claims from the Spanish media.
El Chiringuito journalist Marcos Benito is the one breaking the news, reporting Wolves have asked about signing the 26-year-old.
Despite revealing those first contacts, there’s still no information on the negotiations, with no mention of the price that Valles can go for.
The goalkeeper has been at Las Palmas for many years, having been promoted from their academy to their first team in 2019, and is now standing out in the current season.
Valles has 30 appearances in 2023/24, with 32 goals conceded and eight clean sheets, and is currently valued by Transferamrkt at €15m.
The Premier League’s interest in him isn’t something new, as the Las Palmas president recently revealed that he rejected a €20m offer from Nottingham Forest for him, and the likes of Arsenal and Aston Villa have also been linked to the player.
Wolves were also linked to Athletico Paranense goalkeeper Bento in the past week, and it seems they’ve been asking around to sign a player for the postion this summer.
