Wolverhampton Wanderers continue their efforts to try and strengthen their squad before the winter market closes on Monday.
The Premier League club seem to be working on several fronts and one of them leads to AS Monaco’s Soungoutou Magassa.
That’s at least what Foot Mercato are reporting, and they have a short update on Wolves’ desire to sign the 21-year-old in this window.
The defensive midfielder came up through the ranks of the Ligue 1 club’s youth system and made his way into their first team in 2022.
Magassa made 20 appearances in all competitions this season and Wolves want to secure his services. To do this, the report explains Vítor Pereira’s side have ‘made an offer’ to Monaco.
There’s no mention of the details of their proposal, including fee and whether it’s loan or a permanent transfer.
His contract lasts until 2029, and Foot Mercato do point out that Transfermarket values the player at €12m. They add it’s difficult to say at this moment in time what will happen in this case.
Wolves now have wait for a response from Monaco [and Magassa] after submitting a bid.
