Fulham FC are currently competing with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signing of Bordeaux striker Hwang Ui-jo, with both clubs making satisfactory offers.
That’s according to France Bleu, who say that the Premier League pair have offered €4-5m for the striker.
They explain that Bordeaux, who are beset by financial difficulties, are keen to move Hwang on as soon as possible as they look to free up funds to bring in new signings.
He is one of three players whose departures are ‘particularly advanced’ and he has interested parties in France and England.
The interest from the latter is coming from Fulham and Wolves, as well as a third, unnamed club, and the first two have made offers.
Those bids of €4-5m plus bonuses are ‘up to what the club (Bordeaux) expects’ to receive but the player is now hesitating.
He wanted a move to the Premier League at all costs a few days ago but has now changed his mind, as he ‘wonders about the sporting project’ presented to him.
At Wolves, he would only be the third-choice striker in Bruno Lage’s squad while for Fulham he would be the second choice behind Aleksandr Mitrovic.
That’s left him with doubts about joining either club and he is now expected to make a decision about his future over the weekend, with Bordeaux hoping to finalise his departure earlier next week.
