Marshall Munetsi arrived at Wolves from Stade de Reims in February 2025. He was a regular under Vítor Pereira, who left Molineux in November.

Wolves appointed Rob Edwards as Pereira’s successor later that month. Munetsi started the manager’s first game in charge and then came off the bench against Nottingham Forest in December. Since then, Edwards has left the midfielder out of his squad.

On December 16th, L’Equipe reported the Zimbabwe international has fallen out of favour with the Wolves manager. Therefore, he could leave in the winter market.

Later that month, several claims from France mentioned OGC Nice and Paris FC as being among those interested. There haven’t been any updates on that until Wednesday evening.

A fresh report from L’Equipe claims the 29-year-old is close to joining Paris FC on loan this month.

Foot Mercato pick up on that and provide more on the midfielder’s return to France.

Munetsi is unhappy at Wolves, and the Ligue 1 side can offer him an escape route. Foot Mercato report Paris FC are close to reaching an agreement with the Premier League side.

Wolves player expected to travel on Thursday

The operation will be a loan without an option or obligation to buy. In other words, the Zimbabwean will return to Molineux after this season. According to the outlet, he’s expected to travel to Paris on Thursday for medical tests with the French club.

Paris FC have already completed the signing of Luca Koleosho on loan from Burnely. Le Parisien now state the Wolves player will be their second signing of this window and will also arrive on loan.

Munetsi’s situation at Wolves had also caught FC Nantes’ attention. They made contact with the English club, but Paris FC were ‘more convincing’.

If there are no last-minute setbacks, Munetsi will arrive in the French capital today for medical tests with Paris FC.
