Rafael Leão’s lack of consistency could see AC Milan make him available in the next market, even though the club strongly believe in his talent.

According to Milan Live, the Serie A side want to bet on the 21-year-old for next season, but the situation could change if he disappoints in the final weeks of this campaign.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are pushed forward as an ‘option’ for the forward, if the Rossoneri decide to sell him in the summer.

After the end of this campaign, Leão’s agent Jorge Mendes will sit down with the Italian club to evaluate his client’s future. The two parties retain an intention to continue their association, but the situation could change if there’s a ‘good offer’.

The Portugal international’s skills could suit many clubs and Wolves is among them. The super-agent has close ties with the Premier League club and therefore, the possibility of the Milan player being a target for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side cannot be ruled out.

Wolves took Willian José on loan from Real Sociedad in the winter market and they must decide whether or not to make his stay permanent in the summer. If they choose not to retain the Brazilian, Leão could be an option for the English club.

For now, the website makes it clear there is ‘nothing concrete’, although with Mendes involved, ‘anything can happen’.

Leão has seven goals and five assists in all competitions this season.
