Crystal Palace, Brentford and Wolves will all be looking to make improvements to their squads in the January transfer window.
As Vitor Pereira’s side fight relegation, both Brentford and Crystal Palace would be looking to move inside the top half of the table.
Now all of them could be set for a tussle over the same player.
El Periodico Aragon have reported today that Wolves, Brentford and Crystal Palace ‘want’ Red Star Belgrade defender Nasser Djiga. Arsenal are also mentioned as a potential suitor, but that looks like too big a jump.
The centre-back was initially expected to depart next summer, however, the exit has now been brought forward. That is because the Serbian side see Djiga as their best defender and his exit will help them earn good funds.
This has impacted Real Zaragoza’s plans massively, as the Spanish side were keen on Red Star’s Stefan Lekovic and the plans to sell Djiga have made sure that Lekovic will not be offloaded this month.
The report indicates that it will not be easy to negotiate with Red Star and that is something Zaragoza have found out in their talks for Lekovic.
Djiga has played 25 times in all competitions for Red Star this season and has also played regularly in the Champions League as well.
