Last summer, AC Milan took Franck Kessie from Atalanta on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to sign him on a permanent transfer in 2019.

The midfielder made 37 appearances in the league last season and has started in eight fixtures this term. He has impressed with his displays since making a switch to San Siro and his form has not gone unnoticed.

Several reports talk about interest from clubs across Europe and Italian website Calciomercato have now joined the mix as they claim Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the race for the 21-year-old.

The Ivory Coast international’s agent earlier told Calciomercato that he is not surprised by the interest from clubs in his client, but he is happy with the Serie A outfit.

“It is normal that offers arrive for a player who has always had a market. However, I find it premature to talk about it right now. Now we have the sole objective of doing well with the Milan shirt. Renewal? I am talking to Milan,” George Atangana said.

Despite the above claims from the player’s representative, the Premier League outfit are said to be still persistent about Kessie. Wolves, if the claims are correct, would therefore continue their chase, after it was reported they made a €40m + €20m bonuses offer for the African midfielder in the summer.
