Earlier this month, Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas spoke about a Wolves approach for him during the previous summer transfer window.

The Greek stopper revealed that even if the English club had promised to come back in for him, he is keen on staying at the Rome club to fight for his place.

Now, developments at Lazio can push Mandas away from the Stadio Olimpico and this could present Wolves with a fresh a chance.

Il Messaggero, as relayed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, report new Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri sees Ivan Provedel as his first-choice goalkeeper.

Mandas sees this as demotion as he’d played as first-choice under Marco Baroni towards the end of the 2024/25 season. As a result, the Greece international may consider an exit.

The newspaper believe that Wolves can be a ‘tempting’ opportunity for the 23-year-old, with Vitor Pereira’s side ‘always interested’ in landing him.

This can also prove to be a chance for Lazio to earn a capital profit, as they signed Mandas for only €1.3m in 2023 and his valuation has risen quite a bit since then.
