Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Daniel Podence is again said to be on the verge of leaving the Premier League side.
The Portugal international doesn’t look to be in the core plans of Gary O’Neil and may need to move on this summer.
According to Rudy Galetti, who is good on the Saudi Pro League market, Wolves are in advanced transfer talks with Al Shabab over a transfer in this window. The Italian journalist says the small details are being discussed between the two clubs and that winger has given his approval to the move.
It’s reported a deal should soon be finalised and that there is positivity around the move. The Saudi club have the advantage that their transfer window is still open for another month.
Podence spent last season on loan in Greece, where he made 47 appearances for Olympiacos, scoring 15 goals. However, the player has only got 46 minutes in Wolves’ opening two games this season.
A permanent transfer would allow Wolves to recoup some of their outlay.
