Carlos Alcaraz is a name that has only recently popped up in the Wolverhampton Wanderers transfer rumour mill, but it doesn’t appear to be going away.
Last week, we covered quotes from the player in an article that mentioned Wolves where he made it clear the club would let him go if faced with a suitable offer.
Tottenham were also reportedly interested, and his words were soon followed by some from his agent, who spoke in Italy about the potential asking price.
He made it clear that the Wolves target was currently valued at €15m, but that could be negotiated down to €12m, and perhaps even a bit lower if some sort of percentage at resale could be arranged.
Well, we now have Gazzetta dello Sport looking at the player amid reported interest from Inter, and they state that his profile ‘has been on European desks for some time’.
While Milan were among the first to take a look, it’s added that ‘recently, Wolverhampton and Porto’ have both ‘asked for information’ about the Argentine.
As for his current price, it falls in line with previous reports, as they state it ‘exceeds €12m’ at the moment.
Whether that’s something Wolves, now led by Julen Lopetegui, would be prepared to pay remains to be seen, but it’s certainly an affordable one at a team who need something to get them off the bottom of the table during the second half of the campaign.
