Nottingham Forest and Wolves now face new competition for Riquelme Fillipi. Danish side FC Copenhagen have entered the race for the Palmeiras forward.

According to ESPN Brazil, the Superliga club made first contact this week with the 19-year-old’s camp as they look for a replacement for fellow Brazilian Robert, who is expected to leave in January.

Copenhagen hope to bring Fillipi in for the fresh Danish season, which runs on a different calendar, but they will need to overcome interest from several clubs. We recently covered that Nottingham Forest and Wolves also wanted the striker, who made his senior debut for Palmeiras in 2025.

Fillipi stood out for Palmeiras’ under-20 team this year, scoring 23 goals in 42 matches and earning two senior appearances. His form has attracted consistent attention, and Palmeiras have set a €15m asking price for any deal.

Nottingham Forest and Wolves have held talks with his entourage before, and the player’s desire to move to Europe strengthens their case.

If no club reaches that figure in January, ESPN note that manager Abel Ferreira may give the youngster more minutes with the first team to increase his value. For now, Copenhagen’s arrival adds a new layer to a chase already involving two Premier League sides.
