Wolverhampton wanderers have joined Nottingham Forest in the race to sign AC Milan’s Yunus Musah this summer.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who state Wolves are showing interest in the 22-year-old.
They add Vítor Pereira’s side aren’t the first English club as Nottingham Forest are also in the picture. The Reds have already made contact to ask information about the midfielder.
Napoli had agreed a €25m fee with the Rossoneri for the American, but the move didn’t go through. The Italian champions may revive this operation in July or August, but for now, Wolves and Nottingham Forest would battle for his signature.
Gazzetta state the player could move to England in the summer window as he won’t have a key role at the San Siro. Milan have appointed Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare as their new manager and sporting director respectively.
The director has already made it clear Musah “does not have these characteristics” to fit into Allegri’s plans at Milan. Therefore, Gazzetta states the ‘chances that Musah will leave Milan are high’ and everything depends on offers that Allgeri’s side will receive.
With Wolves and Nottingham Forest keen, he can move to the Premier League. With Milan agreeing €25m including bonuses with Napoli, the English clubs could sign Musah for a fee around this region.
