Wolverhampton Wanderers and Norwich City were among the clubs to have showed interest to sign Feyenoord’s Orkun Kökçü in the recently concluded transfer window.
These claims were made by Feyenoord Transfermarkt during FC Afkicken’s live show on YouTube, relayed by FR-FANS.NL.
It’s said that four clubs, two ‘bigger ones’ and two ‘less important’ sides, looked at the possibility of signing the 20-year-old.
Wolves and AS Roma are named as the ‘two bigger ones’, while Daniel Farke’s side are joined by Genoa, to be the ‘less important’ clubs.
That’s about the only information mentioned about Bruno Lage’s side, the Canaries and the other two, who were ‘interested’ in the midfielder.
Claims made by FC Afkicken are also relayed by Voetbal4u and they add that Wolves, Norwich, Roma and Genoa ‘reported to Feyenoord for Orkun Kökçü’.
Kökçü didn’t manage to get a move away from the Eredivisie side, where he still has a contract until 2025. Neither of the two reports specify why the transfer didn’t materialise.
