Wolverhampton Wanderers could leave other clubs in the race to sign Celta Vigo star Jørgen Strand Larsen in the summer window.
The striker was involved in over 34% of the goals [13 goals and three assists] scored by Celta in the league last season.
His excellent season for the La Liga side has seen Wolves, AS Roma, AC Milan and Bologna all show interest in him, according to Il Tempo, relayed by Forza Roma,
Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has the 24-year-old’s name on his list, while their two Serie A counterparts have made concrete moves to try and secure his services. These three clubs would be behind Wolves in the transfer chase.
It’s claimed Gary O’Neil’s side have ‘already submitted an official offer’ of around €30m for the Norway international. The report claims he could end up in the Premier League for a fee close to €35m this summer.
Cope in Spain, who make no mention of Wolves or another English club, claim Larsen is ‘seduced by the idea’ of moving to the Premier League. This should please O’Neil’s side, and help them complete a deal.
