Celta Vigo star Jørgen Strand Larsen is edging closer towards completing a transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Earlier today, Marca stated Wolves agreed a deal with the La Liga side on Friday night to sign the striker on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. It was also said the transfer will be made official next week.
Marca’s claim is backed up by Faro de Vigo, who then state the purchase obligation has been set close to €30m.
The Norway international has attracted interest from several clubs in Italy and England after managing 13 goals and three assists last season. Wolves have managed to win the battle for his signature.
The football financial year in Spain and England starts on July 1st and ends on June 30th of the following year. In the ‘last few hours’, Celta have accelerated their efforts to try to close Larsen’s move to Molineux before the end of the current financial year on Sunday.
The two clubs have ‘agreed on a deferred sale model’. The report says they will make the player’s transfer official next week but the deal will be accounted for the 2023/24 financial season.
Wolves will pay a loan fee, which will be deduced from the money [close to €30m] they will offer to make Larsen’s stay permanent in 2025.
Faro de Vigo insist the deal would also include bonuses and a percentage of the fee from the frontman’s future sale.
