Two days ago, Il Tempo reported Wolverhampton Wanderers are ahead of AS Roma and others in the race to sign Celta Vigo star Jørgen Strand Larsen. It was also stated the Premier League side have made an official offer of €30m.
On Friday, we covered claims from Spain and Norway that Wolves have an agreement in principle with the La Liga side and are working on sorting out personal terms with the striker.
Marca now claim Wolves have agreed a deal with Celta on Friday night, and provide more details of the deal for Larsen’s transfer.
Despite earlier claims stating that Gary O’Neil’s side had made a bid for an outright purchase, Marca say they will sign the 24-year-old on a loan deal with a mandatory purchase clause. The obligation isn’t linked to any conditions, meaning Wolves have to buy him next summer.
The report further adds the Norway international’s move to Molineux ‘will be official next week’. This would indicate the English club have agreed or are at least close to agreeing personal terms with the player.
Larsen has dreamt of playing in the Premier League and his wish will be fulfilled soon with a move to Wolves. He managed 13 goals and three assists from 37 league matches last season.
