Lucas Tousart started in France U21’s 2-1 victory over England U21 in the 2019 UEFA European Under21 Championship that is currently taking place in Italy and San Marino.

Several reports in Italy suggested Inter director of football Piero Ausilio was in attendance to watch the clash, where he where he specifically kept an eye on the Lyon midfielder and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.

Calciomercato also relays the Ligue 1 player is a target for the Nerazzurri, while Wolves have set their sights on the 22-year-old.

The headline of the report reads ‘Wolverhampton: want an Inter goal’.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have joined the Serie A club in chasing Tousart, whose preferred position is defensive midfielder, but he can also operate as a central midfielder.

The Italian website has a short report and it does not provide any details about the fee required to secure the Frenchman’s services. Even if two clubs manage to find an agreement, it is still not clear if Tousart is open to the idea of joining Wolves.

Tousart’s contract with Lyon expires in 2023 and made 42 appearances in all competitions for his club last season.

He’s previously been linked with Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton.
