Earlier today, we covered an interview Giovanni Branchini, Patrick Cutrone’s agent, had with the Italian media.
The representative wasn’t best pleased as he explained the Wolverhampton loanee’s situation at Fiorentina, revealing he was somewhat baffled at the Serie A side’s desire to bring in a new striker, like Krzysztof Piątek, when they had a perfectly good one at their disposal.
Furthermore, there were claims from Cesare Prandelli, the Italian club’s manager, hinting that if Cutrone wasn’t happy with his situation, he could find himself a new challenge elsewhere.
Well, Corriere dello Sport believe that’s the most likely outcome, claiming his ‘adventure with Fiorentina is really in the end credits’.
They explain Prandelli’s decision to choose Dusan Vlahovic over the Wolverhampton man made it very clear, and between now and January, Cutrone will ‘have to try and find the smile in the minutes he will be able to gnaw’.
Despite his lack of minutes, the Wolves striker is fortunate enough that his age and reputation still make him a wanted man in his home country, as ‘Parma would be on his trail, on the hunt for an attacker in view of the January transfer market’, while Bologna, the most heavily linked, have ‘started with a good advantage’.
