Anthony Martial’s first season under Jose Mourinho didn’t exactly go swimmingly.
Martial wasn’t as prominent with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club, and when given opportunities he often failed to shine, which meant Mourinho wasn’t forced to build his plans around the youngster.
With Martial shunted out wide for the foreseeable future, Mourinho’s interest in Ivan Perisic has put more doubt over the player’s future, and Inter Milan have even pushed for the 21 year old to be included in the deal.
They’re not the only club keen, and German magazine Kicker report Wolfsburg are interested. Their sport director Olaf Rebbe has pushed for a loan, but there’s no huge confidence he’s going to get a positive answer.
Even if Manchester United are keen, Martial may feel he could do better for a loan club, with Wolfsburg lacking European football next season.
