Earlier this month, reports coming out of Italy stated Tottenham Hotspur have identified Lautaro Martínez as a transfer target for the 2022/23 season. Over the past two days, Calciomercato have reported ‘there is interest of Liverpool’ in the Inter Milan star.

Arsenal have become the latest Premier League side to join the chase for the 24-year-old.

On Wednesday, we covered claims made by Il Giorno that the north London club have taken the ‘first step’ to bring the forward to the Emirates in the summer.

It was also explained the Serie A winners will need the ‘right offer’ to be tempted to cut ties with him.

Another report from Calciomercato provides a short update on the Argentina international, who is yet to find the back of the net in the league in 2022.

Although Martínez has struggled with goals in recent weeks, the report states he ‘does not lose’ his suitors, which includes Arsenal. It’s stated Mikel Arteta’s side are ‘ready to invest’ on the South American in the summer.

The website doesn’t mention what figures are Arsenal ‘ready to invest’ and also the fee needed to convince Inter to part ways with Martínez in the next window.
