Spanish outlet Fichajes features today a piece on Bryan Gil, whose potential has been drawing some attention in La Liga.
Loaned by Sevilla to Eibar until the summer, the winger has three goals and two assists so far, with performances which made him get linked to Barcelona.
However, instead of hyping up his potential move to the Camp Nou, the website actually brings an article to say the 20-year-old would actually be a ‘perfect fit’ for Manchester City.
Fichajes describes Gil as “very pure and stylistic winger, one of those who catches the ball, overcome opponents vertically by using his speed and ease of dribbling, but also has enough courage and predisposition to look up and find the best placed among all their teammates”.
The report says these are the characteristics which Pep Guardiola tries to work with the likes of Ferran Torres, Phil Foden, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko. However, Bryan Gil is presented as a ‘different profile of player’ to suit the manager.
The website points out that the youngster’s release clause is more than affordable for big clubs, since it’s only €35m.
Regarding Barcelona’s interest, it’s said the Camp Nou side are in the main positions for his signing.
Fichajes, however, make it look like they’d rather see him playing for Manchester City instead.
