Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski is ‘very popular’ at Everton, with Juventus ‘trying to cash in’ on him this month.
That’s according to journalist Nicolo Ceccarini, who backs up reports from earlier this week that Kulusevski could be a target for the Toffees.
Earlier this week, we covered comments from journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who stated that Everton ‘really like’ Kulusevski.
He explained that Juventus are looking to sell the Swede to raise funds for a move for Gianluca Scamacca, who they want to tie up before the summer.
His value is currently €35m, and so Juventus are looking to ‘cash in’ on players they don’t want so they can get a deal done.
Kulusevski is one of them, and he is ‘very popular’ in the Premier League, where Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton are all interested. Ceccarini states confidently that the player is ‘on the way out’ of the Italian giants, and it appears one of those three will be his destination.
There’s no mention of transfer talks or anything of that nature as yet, but Ceccarini echoes Di Marzio’s comments almost exactly, which suggests the pair are getting the same information from somewhere.
Everton’s being interested makes sense, though, as it’s been reported Rafa Benitez wants a right-winger this month.
Kulusevski also fits into the model of the younger player the Spaniard has been targeting this month with the signings of Vitaliy Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson.
Kulusevski will be considerably more expensive than either of those two, though, so if a deal is to happen, then negotiations aren’t likely to be simple.
