Watford midfielder Juergen Elitim has admitted he would love to secure a permanent transfer to Racing Santander this summer to secure some continuity in his career.
Elitim has been with Watford since moving from Granada U19’s in July 2018 but is yet to make an appearance for the Hornets in that time.
He has instead spent the last four and a half years out on loan with the likes of Marbella, Ponferradina, Deportivo de La Coruña and now Racing Santander.
He has been a regular for the LaLiga2 side this season, making 15 appearances in the league and featuring in 41% of the available minutes.
He’s set to return to Watford in the summer, though, with his current loan deal not including a purchase clause for the Spanish side.
Elitim has already spoken about his delight at the latest loan move of his career and he now says he would like for it to be made into a permanent switch.
“It is a bit complicated not to have continuity in a club and not being able to settle in a city,” he told AS.
“It is clear that it weighs you down. Of course, it would be good any way you look at it if Racing paid for my transfer.
“That would mean, first of all, that we have achieved the collective objective of permanence and, for the individual part, it would mean that I am fine, that I am happy, that I will settle in a club and in a city. I think we would all win.”
