Borussia Dortmund have already made efforts to sign Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham in the summer window.

Earlier this month, a BVB delegation travelled to England to hold talks for the 19-year-old’s transfer. Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are also keen on him.

Last Tuesday, WAZ reported Borussia Dortmund have scheduled a meeting to secure the Sunderland star’s services.

Bild now cover the latest on the Bundesliga club’s pursuit of Bellingham. He played a role in helping the Black Cats beat Sheffield United in the Championship playoff final, to seal promotion to the Premier League.

Having helped Sunderland secure a return to the top flight, the England U21 international has a ‘clear head’ to decide his future.

Bild report BVB are willing to offer around €30m ‘as early as this week’, after holding talks earlier.

Borussia Dortmund want the player to have a central role straight away. If they were to secure his services, BVB’s plan is for him to be a ‘regular and a difference-maker’ under Niko Kovač.

Bild are not certain whether all these factors would be enough to attract him to the Signal Iduna Park. There are English clubs also keen on snatching Bellingham from Sunderland.

Bellingham’s ‘decision is approaching’, and the Bundesliga club are eagerly waiting for it.
