This week, we saw Chelsea’s chase for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia being reawakened with reports from the Italian media.

It was said that the Blues stand as one of the clubs who threaten to take the star out of Napoli, even though he’s not having his best season with the Serie A side, at least compared to his last campaign.

Following those claims, we now get to see some comments from Kvaratskhelia’s agent which should be of interest to Chelsea. The quotes come from Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Representative Mamuka Jugeli was asked about the possibility of the player leaving Napoli in a new future, and he made it clear that this is could happen if certain conditions are met.

“As regards the future, we are talking with the club, we will see what will happen. He will leave if another club presents an offer that the management will not be able to refuse.”

Gazzetta adds that the ‘indecent’ proposal would be of something around €100m, although the agent didn’t want to mention any numbers.

“I cannot talk about a specific amount, these are De Laurentiis’ evaluations. I protect the contract and Khvicha’s work. Everything will be clear at the end of May.”

Back in November, reports from the Italian media claimed that Chelsea were ready to do ‘crazy things’ to get Kvaratskhelia signed.

Those links were still heavily related to the great season he had at Napoli in 2022/23.

The problem is that the winger has had a little drop in his form, which appears to be behind him now, but we do wonder if the Blues would want to or be able to spend so much money to get him this time, especially if they have no Champions League to offer.
