Napoli defender Kim Min-jae ‘will go to Manchester United’ this summer, and they will pay his €60m release clause outright to make it happen.

That’s according to Il Mattino, who say Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has categorically ruled out any players being part of the deal.

According to their information, the Napoli chief is not interested in ‘pawns’ when it comes to selling his big players, with his sole focus always on bringing in the money and then investing it.

This is something he has done with every major sale, and he has no intention of changing for Kim, who Manchester United had thought of trying to get in a deal involving players they do not want.

Napoli, though, have been ‘crystal clear’ about the matter, they want the payment of his release clause, worth €60m, in one single payment or there will not be a deal.

Manchester United seem willing to do that and, so, the player will be moving to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

This is again something Il Mattino state confidently, having also reported last week that a deal was done, and the defender had already lined up a house in Manchester to live in.

They are more than certain that he is on his way to join Erik ten Hag’s squad this summer, and don’t deviate from that in their latest update.
