Marc Cucurella is not leaving Chelsea this summer if he has any say on the matter, and he won’t be touching his hair either, even if Spain win Euro 2024.
That’s according to his agent, Aleix Piqué, who insists his client is happy where he is at Chelsea, and the hair is a ‘non-negotiable’ for him as well.
Cucurella has been enjoying something of a summer revival at Euro 2024 with Spain, where he has been the starting full-back for Luis de la Fuente.
His inclusion in the team came as something of a surprise given the season Alex Grimaldo had enjoyed with Bayer Leverkusen but it has proven to be an inspired choice from the Spain boss.
The Chelsea man has fully justified his place in the starting 11, putting in a series of impressive performances as Spain have made their way to the final, where they will take on England, in impressive fashion.
La Roja have undoubtedly been the best team at the tournament and the Chelsea man has been a key part of that, earning praise and admirers across Spain.
That’s left some questioning what happens next as he’s endured something of a difficult time at Stamford Bridge since moving from Brighton, but his agent has quashed such talk, and also insisted nothing will be happening to his hair either.
“The haircut thing is non-negotiable,” he said.
“What’s more, when he entered a locker room, one of his teammates would joke about cutting his hair. What he might be able to do is dye his hair red if we end up winning the Euro Cup, but let’s see if he will do it or not.
“He is very comfortable and happy at Chelsea, in London, and his idea is to continue. Under normal conditions, he will continue.”
