Leeds United fans may want to put away any ideas of Carlos Corberán arriving as manager for the time being.

That’s at least if the latest reports from Super Deporte and Marca are anything to go by. They both cover the Spanish manager today.

Leeds could be on the hunt for a new manager in the coming weeks. Pressure is growing on Daniel Farke after a disappointing run of results of late. That’s seen Leeds slide back down the Premier League table to 18th place. They sit on 11 points, level with West Ham in 17th.

Questions are being asked about Farke, despite him leading them back to the Premier League last season. Potential replacements have already been named. Carlos Corberán is currently third on the bookies’ list. The problem, though, is that he appears to be fine at Valencia for the time being.

Super Deporte report he and his Valencia squad recently had lunch together. That’s been seen as ‘another sign of unity’ between the manager and his players.

The lunch came after recent reports questioning the squad’s confidence in their coach. It appears they wanted a public display of their support for the Valencia manager. The newspaper insists that the facts show any issues aren’t in the dressing room.

Move to Leeds United looks unlikely in short term

Marca, meanwhile, say Corberán is in no danger of the sack either. That’s particularly the case as they’ve just added four points from six in their last two games.

While questions have been raised about the Spaniard since the start of the season, he doesn’t appear to be in any danger. In fact, he is also getting big performances from his substitutes, another major positive.

All in all, it appears he’s safe at the Mestalla. He’s certainly not being pushed towards the exit by his players, that’s for sure. That could be problematic for Leeds United, if he is on their list should Farke be removed.
