Sabah report West Ham United winger Gokhan Tore wants to return to Besiktas until the end of the season, despite currently being side-lined with a knee injury.
Tore has reportedly told the Besiktas board: ‘You don’t have to pay money for me. Part of my wages can be covered by West Ham. Would you like to get me early?’
According to Sabah, the 25 year old has assured Besiktas board he’ll return to the team in March, so he can play a role in the club’s title push. Besiktas’ board may entertain the idea, but talks are at a premature stage at the moment.
Last month we covered claims in the Turkish media that Tore will be out for remainder of the season and West Ham are unlikely to activate the right of redemption clause.
Loaned from Besiktas for €3.5m, Tore has been unable to make an impact at West Ham since his arrival in the summer, which hasn’t been helped by injuries.
The Turkish international has played just a handful of games for West Ham this season, and the Hammers are likely to welcome his departure.
