Once again, we are in a transfer window, and West Ham United are scrambling around looking for strikers.
They found one in Danny Ings, signing the player from Aston Villa for a reported £15m, but there has been talk they could go for another one to help David Moyes out.
France has once again been West Ham’s favourite hunting ground, with the likes of Terem Moffi and Mama Baldé linked with a move to London Stadium.
The latter is currently at Troyes, and is their top scorer for the season to date, meaning they would be very reluctant to let him go, despite the Hammers reportedly making him a priority of theirs.
This is made clear by L’Est Eclair in France, a local newspaper, who state the player is expected to stay put unless an ‘insane offer’ is made.
In fact, the club want to keep all their current players and add two to three more to their squad in the coming days.
The newspaper also clarify by what is meant by ‘insane offer’, adding that a fee of €10-15m would ‘be deemed insufficient’.
However, is something along the lines of €30m were to arrive on their desk, then the leaders ‘would struggle to convince’ the owners to reject it.
That being said, such an amount is currently seen as ‘unthinkable’ for the player, even if we all know how desperate English clubs, like West Ham, can get in the final days of the transfer window.
