West Ham and Watford both went window shopping on Friday as club scouts were at the match between SC Braga and Maritimo.
Portuguese clubs publish official scouting lists, so it’s hard to keep a secret, and whilst West Ham and Watford aren’t the Premier League clubs who scout most in the country, that probably being Manchester United and Arsenal, the clubs are there more than most.
Watford’s scouting of Portuguese football obviously increased when Marco Silva was the club’s manager, but it’s still continued now he’s left and there’s obviously targets being formulated.
Braga won the match 2-0 and their star performers were Ricardo Horta and Nikola Vukcevic.
A Bola don’t give any indication who the two Premier League clubs are interested in specifically, but on a general basis they say Bruno, Viana, Esgaio, Horta and Paulinho could be targets at Braga, whilst Maritimo’s Bebeto and Joel Tadjo also get a mention.
West Ham and Watford were joined by European clubs including Marseille, Montpellier, Nice, Genoa and PSV.
