West Ham United are trying to lure former Bundesliga sporting manager Lutz Pfannenstiel to the club.
That’s according to t-online, who say that the Hammers have already made an offer to the 47-year-old a few weeks ago.
West Ham are enjoying a strong run of form of late, with David Moyes guiding his side into the top four over the busy Christmas period.
Their resurgence has been built on some excellent work in the transfer window since his return last year, with the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Thomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal all now key players.
Moyes has been key to their renewed and improved transfer dealings, but it seems the club are keen to add someone above him.
That man is Pfannenstiel according to t-online, who say they want to bring the former Fortuna Dusseldorf director to the London Stadium.
They say that Pfannenstiel is ‘at the top’ of West Ham’s wishlist and they are trying to lure him from St. Louis City in America, where he is currently their Sporting Director. His response that offer is not yet known.
This is not the first time Pfannenstiel has been linked with a move to the Premier League, having also been linked with a move to Newcastle United in the past as well.
It is now West Ham who are seemingly offering him the move, though and it remains to be seen how he will respond to their efforts.
