Sevilla will not accept anything below €40m for forward Youssef En-Nesyri, as West Ham continue to chase his signature.

The Hammers made their first move for the player earlier this week, with a €30m bid rejected by the Spanish side.

They are not keen on a sale, and the player wants to remain in Spain, but reports in Spain have suggested that some at the club will push for a transfer if the price is right.

That price has been put at €40m and Mundo Deportivo back that up today, stating that Sevilla will not accept any amount below that figure.

Their intention is to ‘obtain a large capital gain’ if the player is to move to West Ham, having paid €20m to sign him from Leganes last January.

Indeed, there is a feeling that they could get it from somewhere else, with the club believing that more powerful Premier League clubs with ‘more financial muscle’ will enter the bid and compete with West Ham for his signature.

Sevilla now expected a ‘bigger offer’.

That would benefit the interests of Sevilla, who, while reluctant to sell, clearly believe that En-Nesyri can be the major sale to help balance their books.
