West Ham United have found themselves being drawn into the ongoing race for Palmeiras Richard Ríos.
Hoy Diario del Magdalena name the Hammers as part of the suitors for Ríos alongside the likes of Paris Saint Germain for the player.
Ríos has been linked with a move away from Palmeiras for months after impressing in 2024 Copa América and in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Several Premier League sides were believed to be keen in the summer transfer window and that saw his transfer fee fluctuating wildly as a result, with it hitting €90m at one point.
West Ham have now joined the list of suitors alongside AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain. Palmeiras are aware of this and have made it clear the 24-year-old can’t leave for anything less than €15m.
PSG are believed to have offered €20m in the summer, which was rejected by Brazilian side in the summer. They don’t consider the battle lost, though, and could return for him in the January transfer window.
They see hm as a great addition for the future and is being scouted by one of their representatives in South America. If they do move, West Ham could be the competition.
Their interest and PSG’s feels like it is being overstated, though, much the way the list of interested parties in the summer was that led to his asking price going through the roof.
