West Ham United are reportedly interested in Fenerbahce defender Jayden Oosterwolde.
That’s claimed by Sports Digitale journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who shows up on Twitter to reveal this chase.
According to the reporter, who is presenting this information as an exclusive, West Ham are current ‘monitoring’ the player’s situation at Fenerbahce.
For now, there’s no information on whether the Hammers made any moves for the signing. It’s also not said how much the Turkish side’s request would be.
23-year-old Oosterwolde still has a contract with Fenerbahce running until 2027, and is currently valued by Transfermarkt at 13m.
He joined the Turkish side on a €6m deal from Parma back in January 2023. Last season, the 6ft 2 left-footer made 43 appearances, despite a couple of injuries and suspensions.
What may draw West Ham’s attention is that Oosterwolde can be used as a central defender and as a left-back, having basically played the same amount of games in each position last season.
The Hammers have been linked with a big number of reinforcements lately, and it seems clear that they’re trying to get Julen Lopetegui’s side reinforced as soon as possible.
