With Juventus nearly obligated to buy Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo at the end of his loan, you would expect him to be playing.

The problem is that the club also brought in Leandro Paredes from Paris Saint-Germain and re-signed Paul Pogba from Manchester United on a free, meaning the player has fallen down the pecking order under Max Allegri.

This has led to rumours of a move to the Premier League re-emerge, with Arsenal reportedly keen, alongside West Ham United.

That last bit of information seemingly comes from Il Bianconero, who look at what the future transfer windows could hold for Juventus.

They mention Dusan Vlahovic, but he was only signed in January for a big fee, so he’s unlikely to leave, but Locatelli is a different kettle of fish.

The midfielder has only featured for 46 minutes in the Champions League, for example, and while he has played in Serie A, the eventual return of Pogba will likely change that.

That’s why a move elsewhere would make sense for the 24-year-old, and perhaps West Ham United could make sense, even if they don’t play in the Champions League,

They recently welcomed Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo, whom Locatelli knows well from their time together in the various national team levels, and it could be the ideal platform for him to keep growing while playing in England.

Il Bianconero state the player is back in the sights of the Gunners, but both Tottenham and West Ham are clubs to ‘watch out for’ when it comes to the Italian midfielder.

David Moyes certainly wouldn’t mind an extra man at the heart of his squad, and perhaps the Italy international could provide that depth the London side, providing a nice connection for Scamacca in the process.
