On Friday, we covered claims from the Dutch media which stated West Ham United are working on a move for Ajax’s Brian Brobbey in the winter market.
De Telegraaf reported the Hammers are willing to offer the striker a deal worth €100,000 per week and have informed his entourage.
Later that day, the same outlet stated the 22-year-old is open to joining West Ham in this window.
A fresh report from De Telegraaf brings the latest on Brobbey and the Premier League side’s interest.
He boarded a flight yesterday from Schiphol Airport at 6:50pm [local time] and made a trip to England. The frontman has been ‘spotted’ in London, and this is ‘exciting’ due to West Ham’s interest.
The report states Graham Potter’s side are keen and are ‘willing to go to great lengths’ to sign him.
West Ham are looking for a loan deal with an obligation to buy. The Eredivisie side, on the other hand, prefer to sell him for €30m plus €5m bonuses. De Telegraaf add the Hammers are not alone as Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are showing interest in the Dutchman.
They aren’t clear whether Brobbey’s Friday trip to London is related to the transfer and add that his agent, José Fortes Rodriguez, has declined to comment.
