As reported by Sky Germany a bit earlier on in the day, the idea that Bayern Munich could make a move for Declan Rice is growing.
There has now been a new update in the saga, as the West Ham United star is said to have met with Thomas Tuchel about a potential move to Bavaria.
This comes from TZ, who claim that the Bayern Munich manager ‘met Rice in London’ alongside Hasan Salihamidzic and the player’s father ‘last week’.
It all started with a ‘phone call’ between Tuchel and the West Ham midfielder before the two decided to sit down in person, accompanied by the now dismissed director.
The question asked by TZ is whether the decision to get rid of Salihamidzic could influence Rice’s decision, but Sport Bild in Germany add a bit more.
They state this rendezvous, which they describe as a ‘secret meeting’, ’went well and lasted a full 90 minutes’, which suggests there was a lot to talk about.
As for the price, it’s well known that West Ham will likely want somewhere around €100m for their star, as they have no intention of letting him go for cheap, especially since they can extend his contract to 2025 if they so wish.
