West Ham star Lucas Paquetá doesn’t seem very happy with the reports about his calf injury.
Following initial stories from ESPN claiming the midfielder would get sidelined for at least three weeks, Sky Sports and the very same ESPN then said he could be out for nearly two months.
As a Brazilian account on Twitter posted the news, the West Ham player responded and made it sound like he may recover quicker than that.
“What’s that, guys (laughs). Every hour a month is added, calm down,” said Paquetá.
As covered by ESPN, Paquetá got injured during the warm-up for the match against Arsenal, where he played for 33 minutes and got substituted.
He missed the game against Brighton & Hove Albion, and when trying to play against Bristol City, he felt the injury again and that only made things worse.
The Brazilian is now set to get fully sidelined by West Ham to make his full recovery before getting onto the pitch again.
The 26-year-old is obviously of huge importance for David Moyes’ side, and has five goals and six assists in 27 appearances for the Hammers this season so far.
