In a press conference on Friday, West Ham boss David Moyes confirmed that Lucas Paquetá is now back in training and could even be available for the match against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

That was a speedy recovery for the midfielder, who had a collarbone injury in the match against Southampton in mid-October, and despite initial fears that he could be sidelined for a while, he managed to get fit pretty soon.

There was a little concern about Paquetá missing out on the World Cup as well, and that’s why UOL now features a story explaining how the West Ham player managed to be available in a short time.

It’s said that the midfielder visited a shoulder specialist, and since there was no total rupture of the ligament, he opted for a ‘conservative treatment’. In case there was need for surgery, he’d be missing the tournament in Qatar.

The treatment proved to be faster than expected, with Paquetá working at the club and at home with his personal physiotherapist. According to UOL, he was expected to only return to training this weekend. Now he’s actually ready to be in West Ham’s squad, and in no doubt for the World Cup.
