Fiorentina are the latest club to show an interest in West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang, according to claims in Italy. The Spaniard has been linked with a move back to Serie A following recent reports Torino are also showing an interest in the former Sampdoria player.
Calciomercato have revealed Fiorentina have joined the race to sign Obiang, and could look to take advantage of his situation at West Ham. The central midfielder has struggled to make an impact with the East London side since he arrived last summer, which has led to speculation he could move back to Italy before the transfer deadline.
Fiorentina are keen to strengthen in midfield this summer, but as yet they’ve yet enter into talks with West Ham, and could be priced out of a move for 24-year-old.
West Ham would be prepared to listen to offers which they feel they couldn’t turn down, but as it stands it seems like Obiang still be with the Premier League side after the deadline.
Obiang signed for West Ham in the last summer transfer window, but started just 11 games in the Premier League in his debut season in England.
