Late in November, Tuttomercatoweb reported AC Milan have doubts over a move for West Ham’s Niclas Füllkrug.

The doubts are encouraged by the player’s age, with him turning 33 in February. It was believed that the Italian side want a younger profile.

AS Roma were also offered Füllkrug, but didn’t bite.

Now, there could be some hope of the player finding a way out of West Ham.

Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo reports that Milan are having second thoughts, and are now considering the West Ham player.

Rossoneri sporting director Igli Tare has approached the striker’s agent already but problems could be presented by West Ham.

Milan, for now, want an initial loan with an option to buy. The Hammers have not opened up to that possibility yet.

The report claims that unlike what TMW reported, Füllkrug’s profile is quite intriguing to Milan manager Max Allegri.

The future of Santiago Gimenez could also determine the Germany international’s future. The Mexican’s stay at the San Siro is uncertain and his departure would hand Milan enough funds to land Füllkrug.
