After the end of the transfer window, some news that was kept a bit quiet during the summer slowly filters through to the media.
The strong interest from various clubs in Borussia Dortmund’s Matthias Ginter is one of them, and AC Milan’s pursuit of the player for a potential January deal is revealing a bit of information in Italy.
According to Calciomercato, the German defender, whose contract with the club runs out in June 2019, is currently in talks for a renewal at the Bundesliga club following some additional interest in the summer from Premier League clubs.
The Italian website reveals that both West Ham and Southampton, as well as Borussia Mönchengladbach, all had offers rejected by Thomas Tuchel.
As things stand, the 22-year-old is reported as ‘untouchable’, and has played in most of Dortmund’s games since returning from the Olympic Games where he represented his country all the way to the final.
