Arthur Cabral will leave Benfica in the coming hours to sign for West Ham United, who are set to pay €18m plus €2m in bonuses for him.

That’s according to Record, who say West Ham have moved quickly to sign the striker, who had appeared to be heading to MLS with Atlanta United.

The American side had been forming the basis of a deal worth €16m plus €2m in add-ons but the deal did not become concrete and West Ham have now moved in.

According to Record’s information Cabral ‘heads to West Ham’ who have agreed to pay €16m plus €2m in bonuses for the 26-year-old striker.

The Hammers have spent this week bouncing around Europe looking for a new striker to cover the loss of Michail Antonio and Niklas Füllkrug.

That’s seen them linked with players in Germany and the Netherlands, but it now seems they’ve settled on Cabral and will be pushing ahead with a deal for him. In fact, according to Record, he will leave Benfica ‘in the coming hours’ and sign for West Ham.

He has been with the Portuguese side since a €20.5m move from Fiorentina in 2023 and has managed 17 goals and four assists in 67 games for the club in that time.
