Luis Guilherme’s transfer from Palmeiras to West Ham United is going through, the Brazilian media insists.
Earlier on Monday, reports from the English press claimed that the move was on the brink of collapsing, due to a bigger offer from the Middle East.
However, UOL now shows up claiming that Palmeiras and West Ham are currently sorting out the final details and exchanging documents for the transfer.
It’s said the move is worth a total of €30m. That’s €23m guaranteed, plus €7m in bonuses. The Brazilian club are also getting 20% of the profit from a potential future transfer.
UOL doesn’t mention if the talks had any kind of setback in the past few hours. Earlier today, we covered claims from Info Palestra assuring that everything was moving normally.
What this fresh story does mention is that there had been approaches from the Middle East, as well as from Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco. However, it’s said to be West Ham who are taking the wonderkid to Europe, and it remains to be seen if he’ll still get a farewell match at Palmeiras.
