It seems Torino continue to struggle to find an agreement with West Ham United for the transfer of Nikola Vlasic.
The latest news on this saga is brought by Sport Italia, who, in an exclusive story, claims there’s a ‘stalemate’ in the talks.
Torino had the player on loan from West Ham last season, and despite the buying option to hold him for €15m, they decided not to trigger that and negotiate for a lower fee.
The Italian side reportedly tried the purchase with an offer worth €9m plus bonuses, and that was ‘returned to the sender’ by the Hammers.
Now, according to Sport Italia, the situation remains ‘firm and without developments’.
Vlasic himself is said to be keen on staying at Torino and watches the situation hoping there’ll be a deal. At the Serie A side, there’s the expectation that West Ham will ‘loosen their grip’ at some point.
The Hammers are well protected in this situation, as they have the midfielder under contract until 2026. The player is valued by Transfermarkt at €17m, and the Turin side are maybe offering too little indeed.
