As West Ham United’s return for the signing of Youssef En-Nesyri has become a thing in the Spanish media, ABC Sevilla today features a story about this situation.

Pointing out the Hammers have ‘recovered the desire’ of landing the player, the newspaper claims the ‘situation has changed’ for the striker at Sevilla.

With only five goals and three assists in 29 appearances this season, En-Nesyri is no longer an indispensable player for the club, who may even look for new attacking options this summer.

The Hammers, however, must still show up with a convincing bid for him. The Moroccan’s departure isn’t Sevilla’s priority right now, as other players such as Luke de Jong and Munir El Haddadi are closer to the exit door.

It’s recalled that back in January 2021, West Ham had offered over €30m to sign En-Nesyri. Now they evaluate a new attempt, with AS recently also claiming the London side are ‘considering the possibility’ of a new offer.

On the Hammers’ side, the Premier League could play a part. ABC points out that this has been the favourite destination for footballers in Europe, and there the striker could meet his former teammate Diego Carlos, who left Sevilla for Aston Villa this summer.
