West Ham United today get a new mention in the battle for Dinamo Zagreb defender Josip Sutalo.

This time, the Hammers were mentioned in comments made by TuttoMercatoWeb director Niccolo Ceccarini when speaking to Radio Toscana.

In quotes brought by Fiorentina News, he labelled the clubs who are willing to bid for Sutalo, and West Ham are among them.

“For Sutalo there are four clubs ready to put at least €20m for the player. From Leipzig, to Arsenal, West Ham and Ajax.”

West Ham just need to be aware that Ajax seems to be willing to move first. Because over at TuttoMercatoWeb, it’s claimed that the Dutch side’s most recent bid is now of €19m plus €4m in bonuses.

Dinamo Zagreb, though, are aware of the auction that is currently taking place, and shall continue to hold a little to see the best deal they can get. The report claims their idea is to sell Sutalo for between €20m and €25m.

With such a big competition going on, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Croatian side making even more than their initial expectation about the sale. Now we shall see how West Ham will react next.
